Everest Kanto Cylinder restarts production of gas cylinders
Everest Kanto Cylinder Limited, India’s largest manufacturer of high pressure gas cylinders, today announced that it has recently reinitiated the supply of cylinders used for storing medical oxygen to its customers based in India.
EKC has all requisite approvals and capacity to cater to the rise in demand from hospitals across the country as well as from other ancillary medical infrastructure being created for the treatment of COVID-19 related cases. The company’s manufacturing facilities located at Tarapur (Maharashtra) and Kandla (Gujarat) currently have the capacity to manufacture over 7,00,000 cylinders annually with fungible production capabilities, from portable to jumbo cylinders, based on specific applications and clients’ requirements. Government authorities have expedited review of the existing infrastructure for the production and supply of medical oxygen and cylinders in the country, based on the prescribed standards to ensure adequate, disruption-free supply chains capacity of medical oxygen.
The stock closed at 16.46, down by 2.49 per cent or Rs 0.42 per share. The intraday high is Rs 16.90 and intraday low is Rs 16.20. The 52-week high is Rs 33.10 and 52-week low is Rs 9.45 on BSE.
