Escorts Q1FY19 profit jumps up by 92.7 per cent
Escorts reported its results for the quarter ended June 30, 2018, on Monday.
The standalone revenue for the quarter came in at Rs. 1,511.28 crore, registering 29.9 per cent yoy increase. This was mainly due to a jump in revenue from Agri machinery products, construction equipment and railway equipment by 25 per cent, 49.5 per cent and 35 per cent yoy, respectively.
EBITDA for the quarter rose by 90.2 per cent yoy to Rs. 185.54 crore with a corresponding margin expansion of 389 bps. EBITDA margin for the quarter stood at 12.3 per cent. The PAT for the quarter came in at Rs. 120.7 crore, yoy increase of 92.7 per cent.
In terms of volume, tractor volume grew by 39.5 per cent at 24,494 units and construction equipment volume grew by 51.8 per cent to 1,345 units.
On Monday, the stock opened at Rs. 929.70 per share and made an intraday high and low of Rs. 931.65 and Rs. 891.45, respectively, on the BSE.
