The shares of JITF Infralogistics were locked in upper circuit on Thursday; up by ~5 per cent to close at Rs 99.95 per share. The stock is in limelight as it has gained over 1241 per cent in the past one year while in one month alone the stock has more than doubled to gain by 163 per cent. In past five trading sessions the share price of JITF Infralogistics has soared by 21.45 per cent, with only buyers in the counter seen since the mid-August this year. The stock has been gaining with spurt in volume consistently.

JITL Infralogistics is micro-cap company with market cap of about Rs 256.85 crore. As the stock price has jumped more than 12-fold in less than a year, the PE for the stock is astronomical at 1422 as per the BSE website. The financial performance of the company has improved slightly even as the debt has reduced significantly.

The positive momentum could be attributed to :

  1. The expected increase in the order book for the company
  2. Government’s focus on the infrastructure sector while increasing the budget allocation to Solid Waste Management, Rail infrastructure, Water Infrastructure and Urban Waste Management.
  3. JITF Infralogistics has emerged as a leading operator in the field of water and urban waste management sector based on the strengths and advantages that the company enjoys in the marketplace.
  4. Railway sector in India offers significant long-term growth opportunities. Over last decade, JRIL has gained extensive experience in manufacturing almost all major types of freight wagons in India.
  5. The Indian Government has recognized waste to energy as a renewable technology and supports it through various subsidies and incentives. JITF Infralogistics stand to benefit from such recognition by GOI.

JITF Infralogistics was demerged from Jindal Saw in 2016. JITF Infralogistics Ltd. Jindal ITF is redefining existing norms in the areas of Water, Wastewater & Solid Waste Management, Logistics and Transportation Equipment Fabrication.
