Dilip Buildcon wins EPC contract worth Rs 4,167.70 crore; surges 3.41 per cent
The share price of Dilip Buildcon Limited surged on Thursday after the company announced that it has signed an engineering, procurement, construction (EPC) contract.
The EPC contract includes the construction of Bhadbhut barrage, flood protection embankments, and associated works across Narmada River near Bhadbhut of Bharuch district in Gujarat. Following this, the company has been declared as an L-1 bidder through a joint venture (JV) for the construction.
The tender was floated by Narmada, Water Resources, Water Supply, and Kalpsar Department (Water Resources) in the state of Gujarat. The project costs Rs 4,167.70 crore with a completion period of 48 months as well as maintenance of ten years.
Dilip Buildcon Ltd is an infrastructure company with construction capabilities in roads, bridges, mining, and water sanction, etc. It specialises in constructing highways, city roads, culverts and bridges.
At 9.37 am on Thursday, the stock of Dilip Buildcon was trading at Rs 287 with a growth of 5.69 per cent or Rs 15.45. It has a 52-week high of Rs 499 and a 52-week low of Rs 193.4 on BSE.
