Dilip Buildcon surges 5 per cent on strong Q1FY19 numbers
Dilip Buildcon, India’s largest road construction company, with pan-India presence, reported its results for the quarter ended June 30, 2018.
The company’s standalone revenue for the quarter came in at Rs. 2,436.3 crore, registering 46.4 per cent yoy increase. This was mainly on account of the conversion of order book through superior execution and operational excellence.
EBITDA for the quarter rose by 44.1 per cent yoy to Rs. 432.65 crore with a corresponding margin contraction of 28 bps. EBITDA margin for the quarter stood at 17.8 per cent.
The PAT for the quarter came in at Rs. 254.89 crore, yoy increase of 107.8 per cent.
During the quarter, the company won new orders amounting to Rs. 2,744.1 crore. The net order book as on June 30 stood at Rs. 24,090.3 crore.
The company’s order book comprises of roads, highways & bridge projects (93 per cent), mining projects (6.55 per cent), Urban development projects (0.54 per cent) and Irrigation projects (0.03 per cent). Further, the Central government contributes 93 per cent and Maharashtra state government contributes 7 per cent to the order book.
