Dhampur Sugar Mills, Fiinovation collaborate to distribute ration

Dhampur Sugar Mills Ltd announced that Innovative Financial Advisors Pvt Ltd (Fiinovation) has collaborated with them to distribute nutritional food and other essential items in the slum areas of New Delhi.

The two companies have come together to provide Sampoorna nutrition kits to vulnerable communities, which are not able to manage sufficient food everyday during the ongoing lockdown. Apart from this, household safety and essential kits would also be distributed to encourage safe hygiene practices. The two entities will also spread awareness among the masses to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Delhi-based NGO, Roko Cancer Charitable Trust would be implementing their work on ground level. Besides, several volunteers would also be deployed to provide door-to-door services for delivering essential commodities to senior citizens and differently-abled. Meanwhile, for distributing supplies to common masses, mobile vans and temporary distribution centres would be set up.

Talking about the initiative, Dr Soumitro Chakraborty, CEO of Innovative Financial Advisors said that that no denying the fact, COVID-19 has caused a global crisis but people in slum areas, who are mostly daily wagers, are the worst-affected. In such circumstances, the community should come together and take as much effort as possible to support others to cope with such an unprecedented situation.

At the time of market closing on Wednesday, the stock of Dhampur Sugar Mills Ltd was trading at Rs 102.40, up by 4.97 per cent against its previous close of Rs 97.55. Its 52-week high is Rs 246.00 while, its 52-week low is Rs 65.80 on BSE.
