Day’s Movers: These stocks were among the top gainers on March 09

Here are the top gaining stocks in BSE Group ‘A’.

On Thursday, the frontline equity indices declined over its previous closing. The 30-share index, Sensex fell by 0.90 per cent or 541.81 points and closed at 59,806.28 while the 50-share index, Nifty closed at 17,589.60 declining 0.93 per cent. Some of the shares that surged in today's trade out of BSE Group 'A' were Olectra Greentech Ltd, Sequent Scientific Ltd and Maharashtra Seamless Ltd.    

Shares of Olectra Greentech Ltd were up by 19.99 per cent in today’s session and closed at Rs 671.85 over its previous close of Rs 562.90. Today, the shares of Olectra Greentech Ltd hit its upper circuit with the intraday high and low of Rs 675.45 and Rs 561, respectively.    

Another constituent of BSE ‘A’ Group that rallied was Sequent Scientific Ltd, gaining 19.22 per cent in today’s session closing at Rs 74.37. Today, Sequent Scientific Ltd also hit its upper circuit with the intraday high and low of Rs 74.85 and Rs 62.84, respectively.    

Maharashtra Seamless Ltd also rallied 12.51 per cent and closed at Rs 359.70 over its previous close of Rs 319.70. Today, the intraday high and low of Maharashtra Seamless Ltd were Rs 371.20 and Rs 319.90, respectively.
