Days movers take cue from positive market sentiment and corporate earnings

The benchmark indices ended today’s session in green as Sensex closed at 58465.97 with a gain of 1.14 per cent or 657 points while the Nifty closed at 17463.80 with a similar gain of 1.14 per cent or 197 points.
Gains across sectors gave impetus to the headline indices higher with auto and financials showing strength. The lead was extended to the broader market with BSE 500 gaining 1.09 per cent or 256 points to close at 23861.29.
Abbott India, Laxmi Machine Works and Sundaram Clayton were among the day’s movers on BSE 500.
Abbott India surged 7.38 per cent after the company posted an 11.78 per cent jump in its Q3 revenue at Rs 1,224.36 crore compared to Rs 1,095.37 crore last year for the same period. Net profit was up 12.45 per cent at Rs 199.2 crore versus Rs 177.14 crore, YoY. The stock made an intraday high of Rs 16790.45 and a low of Rs 15555.55 to close at Rs16724.80.
Sundaram Clayton Ltd gained 5.87 per cent in today’s trading session to close at Rs 4196. The intraday high and low for the stock were at Rs 4243.45 and Rs 4000. The stock has rallied almost 9 per cent in the last three trading sessions.
Laxmi Machine Works Ltd gained 5.45 per cent in today’s trading session to close at Rs 11690.75. The intraday high and low for the stock were at Rs 11750 and Rs 11057.95. The stock made a fresh 52 week high at Rs 11750 from the levels of Rs 11585.70 made on the 28th of last month.
