Dabur commences construction of manufacturing facility in Madhya Pradesh
Dabur Limited has informed the bourses that today, it has commenced the construction of its largest, most modern, and environment-friendly manufacturing facility in Indore (Madhya Pradesh).
Set up with a phased investment of around Rs 550 crore, this new unit would manufacture a range of Dabur's food products, Ayurvedic medicines, and health supplements.
The first phase of construction of this new facility, which has been planned under Mega Projects Scheme of Madhya Pradesh Government as well as Central Government's Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme, is scheduled for completion by the end of FY22. This unit would provide direct-cum-indirect employment to around 1,250 people initially and over 3,000 people at the end of the final phase.
Spread over 51 acres of land, this new plant will become one of the largest manufacturing facilities for Dabur worldwide and possess cutting-edge technology to make world-class products.
Since the COVID outbreak, the demand for Ayurvedic products has seen rapid growth. As per the company’s management, this new facility will help it expand its production capacity for not only satisfying the growing demand for Ayurvedic products & medicines but also, developing and launching innovative food products in the future.
On Wednesday, the stock of Dabur made intra-day high of Rs 569.95, up by 0.6 per cent from its previous close of Rs 566.35 on BSE. Later, it got closed at Rs 565.05.
