Colgate Palmolive Q2FY19 profit rises 11 per cent
Colgate Palmolive reported its results for the quarter ended September 30, 2018.
The company's standalone revenue for the quarter came in at Rs. 1168.03 crore as against Rs. 1084.88 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, registering an increase of 7.7 per cent YoY.
The EBITDA for the quarter rose by 9.5 per cent YoY to Rs. 329.57 crore, as against Rs 300.85 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, with a corresponding margin expansion of 48 bps. The EBITDA margin for the quarter stood at 28.2 per cent.
The PAT for the quarter came in at Rs. 196.37 crore as against Rs. 177.57 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, an increase of 11 per cent YoY.
During the quarter, the company relaunched its Colgate toothpaste with a new packaging. Further, the company holds market share of 52.5 per cent by volumes in toothpaste category and 44.2 per cent by volumes in the toothbrush category.
The company has declared interim dividend of Rs 8 per share on the face value of Re. 1 each.
Today, the stock opened at Rs 1115 and made an intra-day high and low of Rs. 1137.80 and Rs.1086.50, respectively, on the BSE.
