Chennai Petroleum Corporation Q1FY21 results; consolidated net profit rises by 217.7 per cent to Rs 269.9 crore
Chennai Petroleum Corporation Ltd., a Group company of Indian Oil Corporation, announced its quarterly results on July 24, 2020. The company posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 269.9 crore for Q1FY21, which increased by 217.7 per cent, as compared to Q1FY20 when it reported consolidated net loss of Rs 229.31 crore.
The consolidated net sales reported in Q1FY21 came in at Rs 5,940.92 crore, which declined by 53.31 per cent YoY from Rs 12,723.86 crore in Q1FY20. At EBITDA level, the company stood at Rs 620.63 crore in Q1FY21 that increased by 615.09 per cent YoY. For Q1FY20, it posted negative EBITDA of Rs 120.49 crore.
EBITDA margin as of Q1FY21 was at 10.45 per cent that increased by 11.40 per cent YoY. The net profit margin in Q1FY21 came in at 4.54 per cent, which increased by 6.34 per cent YoY. The net profit margin in Q1FY20 was at -1.8 per cent.
The share closed 0.68 per cent down at Rs 87.8 in today’s session on BSE.
