Cerebra Integrated undertakes e-waste recycling for Samsung

Cerebra Integrated Technologies Limited has undertaken 15,000 MT of EPR commitment of Samsung as its EPR client to collect and recycle e-waste for FY20.

Samsung India Electronics Limited (SEIL) is the major client as a Producer Responsibility Organization (PRO) of Cerebra. The company has undertaken the commitment of collecting and recycling consumer electric and electronics waste (TVs, Refrigerators and Washing machines).

The target is of 15,00,000 KGs after obtaining its recycling license capacity enhancement to 20,000 MTs/annum from Karnataka State Pollution Control Board for Cerebra’s e-waste recycling facility at Narsapura.

Cerebra has been entrusted by Samsung in FY20 with a higher task of 15,000 metric tons and creating awareness amongst consumers for giving the end of life products for recycling.

Cerebra has geared up by having dedicated PRO collection centers as approved by SEIL in Bengaluru, Chennai and Hyderabad regions and will serve as dedicated collection centres. With the existing network of channel partners in South India, Cerebra is geared to complete the collection target of 15,000 tons within the stipulated time.

Earlier, the company had endeavoured to start its chain of about 100 plus stores across India for display and sale of refurbished products. Its first two showrooms were opened in Bangalore in April 2019.

On Wednesday, the stock of Cerebra Integrated opened at Rs 21.55. During the day, it was up by 4.4 per cent making intra-day high of Rs 22.65.
