Century Plyboards spikes 10 per cent post Q1FY19 numbers
Century Plyboards reported its results for the quarter ended June 30, 2018 on Tuesday. The standalone revenue for the quarter came in at Rs. 537.25 crore, registering 13.5 per cent yoy increase. This was primarily driven by volume growth.
EBITDA for the quarter rose by 41.7 per cent yoy to Rs. 86.54 crore with a corresponding margin expansion of 321 bps. EBITDA margin for the quarter stood at 16.1 per cent.
The PAT for the quarter came in at Rs. 45.37 crore, yoy increase of 33 per cent.
Its Plywood and Allied products witnessed a downtrend in revenue by 7.3 per cent. Whereas, Laminate and allied products saw a jump in revenue by 15.4 per cent. Also, its Medium density fibre board segment shines with a jump in revenue from 0.6 crore to Rs. 69.88 crore.
Cheering the news, the stock jumped nearly 10 per cent and made an intraday high of Rs. 263.90 on the BSE.
