Century Plyboards drops 9 per cent on disappointing numbers
Century Plyboards reported its results for the quarter ended March 31, 2018.
The company’s standalone revenue for the quarter came in at Rs. 544.13 crore, registering 3.5 per cent yoy increase.
EBITDA for the quarter fell by 0.7 per cent yoy to Rs. 83.16 crore with a corresponding margin contraction of 65 bps. EBITDA margin for the quarter stood at 15.3 per cent. The PAT for the quarter came in at Rs. 35.72 crore, yoy decline of 36.1 per cent.
Looking at the full year numbers, we see that revenue jumped by 4 per cent to reach Rs. 2,002.04 crore while EBITDA rose by 5 per cent to Rs. 306.05 crore. The company reported net profit of Rs. 156.64 crore, down 16 per cent yoy.
The Board of Directors has recommended a dividend of Rs. 1 per share for the face value of Rs. 1 each.
On Wednesday, the stock opened at Rs. 305 per share and touched an intraday high and low of Rs. 309.25 per share and Rs. 275.50, respectively and finally closed at Rs. 277 on the BSE.
