Bulls are back in action, these stocks outperformed!

JK Paper, New India Assurance and Century Textile were among the top gainers in Group A today!

Markets rebound after yesterday’s weakness. The benchmark index BSE Sensex closed 56802.57 up 1026 points or 1.8 per cent. While Nifty50 closed at 16975.35 up 312 points or 1.9 per cent.   

   In the broader market, all the sectors joined in the rally with Realty emerging as the biggest gainer. BSE Midcap closed at 23572.74 while Smallcap at 27383.82 

JK Paper, New India Assurance and Century Textile witnessed positive action in today’s session.   

JK Paper zoomed 10.33 per cent in today’s session to emerge as the biggest gainer in ‘A‘ Group. The shares of the pulp and paper company were buzzing on the bourses for the last few sessions gaining as much as 25 per cent in one week and making fresh 52-week highs. Today, it touched the day’s high at Rs 311.95 at which it logged its fresh 52-week high. The share touched its day’s low at Rs 281.20 while it closed at Rs 308 apiece. The rally in the stock has been sparked by the price hike by the paper companies and renewed demand for paper as educational institutions and offices are opening up. 

New India Assurance Company was among the early gainers at the bourses gaining as much as 18 per cent after it witnessed some profit booking. The non-life insurance company’s share closed at Rs 123.20, up 7.55 per cent in today’s session. Founded by Dorabji Tata, it is a wholly Indian owned insurance company in India. In today’s session, the stock logged an intraday high and low of Rs 129.50 and Rs 115.90, respectively. 

Century Textile & Industries soared 6.91 per cent in today’s session. The stock logged an intraday high and low of Rs 810 and Rs 759, respectively and closed at Rs 806. The company is among the market leaders in business of cotton textiles and also has a remarkable presence in the Pulp Paper and Real Estate sectors.
