It’s turning out to be a terrific Thursday for the Indian benchmark indices as Nifty is trading within striking distance from the milestone of 17,600 while Sensex is above the important psychological level of 59,000.

Interestingly, Nifty PSU Bank has turned out to be the top-notch performer of the day as it surged over 3.5 per cent while Nifty Bank gained 1.57 per cent.

Performance from the broader market is a bit subdued but they too were seen trading with modest gains with Nifty Midcap 100 and Smallcap 100 advancing 0.19 per cent each.

We have handpicked some stocks that look appealing as BTST candidates; you can keep them on your watchlist!

Aarti Industries: The stock has witnessed the highest single-day volume since September 02. Moreover, it has moved out of the range consolidation, which was witnessed on the lower timeframe. Keep a watch on this stock.

ICICI Bank: Nifty Bank has been one of the top-performing sectors in today’s session and hence, this list would be incomplete without a banking stock. ICICI Bank looks prominent among the banking stocks as it has moved above the mother bar of September 13 while the volume is higher than the previous two trading sessions.

Dishman Carbogen Amcis (DCAL): The stock has witnessed good action in the second half of the trading session with a huge volume spurt. Hence, monitor this stock.

India Cements: The stock has seen good buying interest in the last one hour of the trading session. Hence, keep this on your radar!
