BSE StAR MF crosses 10,000 MFD registrations

BSE StAR MF has crossed 10,000 Mutual Funds Distributors (MFD) registration, adding over 1,500 new distributors per month.
 
BSE StAR MF's distribution reach and network has grown over 10,500 registered distributors and over 2,00,000 considering the employees and business associates of registered distributors on its network in over 3,000 towns across India.
 
BSE’s MD & CEO, Ashishkumar Chauhan said that the BSE has successfully created a digital democracy that is redefining the MF distribution in India and that the BSE StAR MF is the most neutral infrastructure for all stakeholders in the mutual fund distribution ecosystem.
 
The BSE StAR MF has experienced a growth of over 540 per cent in the last 2 years, processing over 25 lakh transactions per month. The MF infrastructure added more than 1.85 lakh new SIPs in May 2018 which was about 26 per cent of the total new SIPs added by the MF Industry.
 
Also, over 99 per cent of transactions on BSE StAR MF are in retail category; StAR MF now contributes over 50 per cent of net new inflows in equity schemes under retail category.
