BSE StAR MF contributes 66 per cent share of industrys net equity inflow
BSE StAR MF contributed Rs 56,038 crore as net equity inflow during FY19-20, which is 66 per cent of the entire MF Industry Net Equity Inflow which was 83781 crore for FY19-20. BSE StAR MF contributed 61 per cent in net equity inflow i.e Rs 3806 crore out of the entire MF industry’s total of Rs 6212 crore in April 2020.
Despite a nationwide lockdown due to COVID-19 pandemic, it processed over 63.17 lakh transactions which amounted to Rs 37,200 crore during April 2020 helping AMCs, its members and their clients with smooth paperless transactions. During FY19-20, overall, the platform achieved 5.75 crore transactions with 2.54 lakh new registration of systematic investment plans (SIPs), further amounting to Rs 60 crore. Thus, currently, the total SIP book size stands at 39.54 lakh, which is equivalent to Rs 1,180 crore. The monthly turnover for April 2020 reported a growth by 157 per cent from Rs 14,466 crore in April 2019 to Rs 37,200 crore. The annual turnover for FY19-20 is calculated to be Rs 2,02,552 crore.
BSE StAR MF App (StAR MF mobility) was launched to help distributors and independent financial advisors register clients on real-time basis and execute paperless transactions. Currently, it has processed over 4.47 lakh transactions since its launch in May 2019, hence amounting to more than Rs 3,561 crore.
