BSE SmallCap Index: These consistent performers gained up to 38.16 per cent in August
The broader markets underperformed in August as indicated by BSE SmallCap Index, that slipped by 1.41 per cent. IT stocks and FMCG stocks gained momentum in August while infra stocks were seen joining the party in the past one week.
Several small caps however were seen bucking the trend and gaining in August. Few small cap stocks gained in August after posting an impressive performance in July. This indicates a consistency in performance by such small caps stocks that have gained in July and in August as well.
