BSE Small-cap: These stocks hogged the limelight on a festive day
Wonderla Holidays and Oricon Enterprises were locked in upper circuit on August 11.
At the closing bell on August 11, the Sensex closed stronger at 59.332.60, up by 0.9 per cent or 515.31 points, while the Nifty index closed at 17,659, up by 124.25 points or 0.7 per cent.
Wonderla Holidays and Oricon Enterprises witnessed positive action in today’s session.
Shares of Wonderla Holidays Ltd were locked in a 20 per cent upper circuit in today’s session at Rs 336.055, which is also its fresh 52-week high. The amusement park company has rallied 50 per cent in the last one month with half of the rally (25 per cent) in just the last one week. The blockbuster performance in today’s session was on the back of strong Q1 results announced by the company. Net revenue grew 33x YoY at Rs 150 crore while PAT was up by 5.85x at Rs 64.38 crore. The shares of Wonderla Holiday were the biggest gainer in the “B” Group in today’s session.
Another stock locked in the upper circuit of 20 per cent was Oricon Enterprise on the back of Q1 results announced on August 10. Net revenue stood at Rs 191.68 crore, a growth of 60.45 per cent on a YoY basis. PAT came in at Rs 14.98 crore, up 16.75 per cent YoY. At the closing bell on Thursday, the shares of Oricon Enterprises closed at Rs 33.05, a gain of 19.75 per cent over its previous close. Oricon Enterprises, the flagship company of Parijat Enterprises, is currently engaged in Real Estate, Marine Logistics, Packaging and Petrochemicals.
