BSE Sensex rises by 376.33 points

The BSE Sensex was up 376.33 points at 12:21 am on Wednesday. HDFC Bank, HDFC, Larsen & Toubro and ICICI Bank were seen contributing to over 50 per cent of the Sensex gains. HDFC Bank was up Rs. 26.45 per share, while HDFC, Larsen & Toubro and ICICI Bank were up Rs. 29.85 per share, Rs. 36.60 per share and Rs. 6.90 per share, respectively. 

S&P BSE Sensex opened at 34,493.21 today, and hit a high and low of 34,771.10 and 34,346.50, respectively. This is an improvement from yesterday’s closing level of 34,299.47. 

It is observed that Consumer Durables, Capital Goods, Industrials and Finance sectors were contributing to the gains majorly. On the other hand, the Information Technology sector and Technology sector were dragging the index down.
