BSE Limited: New XBRL data set live on Bloomberg terminal

 Financial data presented in XBRL format enables better automation and reliable data handling. Bloomberg has successfully integrated XBRL data exclusively provided by the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE Limited) on its platform. 

BSE is India's first exchange to accept financial statements in the eXtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL) format. This standard is accepted by global regulatory and financial institutions for the extraction of data from electronic documents including financial results, shareholding patterns, corporate governance data and annual reports.

These new data sets will improve the transparency of financial data of listed companies and enable market participants, especially mid to micro-cap investors, access important data in time. 

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Regulatory Officer of BSE Limited, Nehal Vora said, “By adopting this document format, BSE and Bloomberg are ensuring that local and international investors are given the transparency to invest confidently in India’s mid to small-cap businesses.”

BSE Limited is India’s leading exchange operator that provides a transparent market for trading in equity, mutual funds and debt instruments, as well as currency derivatives, commodity derivatives, equity derivatives, interest rate derivatives. On Wednesday, the stock of BSE Limited was trading at Rs. 619.00 per share, down by 0.23 per cent.
