BSE Consumer Durables Index Climbs 1.23 per cent; Crompton Greaves Top Gainer; Whirlpool of India Top Loser
Orient Electric and Voltas concluded the day on a flat note, ascending by a mere 0.25 per cent and 0.12 per cent respectively.
S&P BSE Consumer Durables Index climbed by 1.23 per cent outperforming the frontline indices after recording gains of 438.99 points, while the Sensex rose by 0.32 per cent or 166.07 points to close at 52,484.67.
Crompton Greaves was the top performer of the index up by 4.01 per cent outperforming all other stocks by a mile. Dixon Technologies gained 2.57 per cent and closed at Rs 572.40. Vaibhav Global, Amber Enterprises and Blue Star ended in the green territory, climbing more than 1 per cent each. Titan jumped by 0.84 per cent to end the session at Rs 1,756.50 followed by Bajaj Electric which also gained 0.56 per cent.
