Bodal Chemicals resumes full operations
Bodal Chemicals has informed the bourses that it has re-established the complete production of dye intermediates and dyestuff operations which were disrupted and closed partially on October 22, 2018, due to an environmental issue — leakage of ammonia.
After closure of the plant, the company had informed on November 5, 2018, that it had restarted majority of the dye intermediate operations. Now the company has resumed remaining of the dye intermediates and dyestuff operations.
In the recently concluded quarter (Q3FY19), Bodal reported 9 per cent yoy growth in revenue to Rs. 331.5 crore. Net profit in the quarter grew marginally by 4 per cent yoy to Rs. 31.8 crore.
With this positive development, the stock of Bodal Chemical surged nearly 6 per cent to touch intra-day high of Rs. 95.70. At 15.08 hours the stock was trading at Rs. 95 apiece.
