BHEL wins order worth Rs 450 crore from NALCO
The new order, worth Rs 450 crore, is for NALCO’s fifth stream alumina refinery expansion project at Damanjodi (Odisha). The scope of the contract includes design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of 1x300 TPH coal-fired boiler, 18.5 MW steam turbine generators & associated auxiliaries, including flue gas desulfurisation & selective catalyst reduction plants (FGD & SCR).
Besides, this project is also contributing to the Govt of India’s (GOI) ‘Make in India’ initiative.
BHEL is India’s largest manufacturer of power generation equipment. It is engaged in the design, engineering, manufacture, construction, testing, commissioning, and servicing of a wide range of products, services & systems for core sectors of the economy like power generation, transmission, transportation, renewable energy, water, defence & aerospace etc.
The company enjoys 78 per cent of the market share in lift irrigation scheme while 60 per cent in the power segment.
At 2.27 pm on Monday, the share of BHEL was trading 1.27 per cent down at Rs 38.85. It has recorded a 52-week high of Rs 47.75 and a 52-week low of Rs 19.2 on BSE.
