BHEL wins mega solar photovoltaic order
India top PSU company Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) informed to exchanges that, it has won an order for setting up SPV power plants in Telangana from Singareni Collieries Company Limited.
BHEL announced that it won an order for setting up 29 MW Solar Photovoltaic (SPV) power plants. The total worth of the order is Rs. 565 crore. The plants are to be set up at Ramagundam (50 MW), Yellandu (39 MW), Manuguru (30 MW) and Pegadapally (10 MW) on an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) basis. With this order, its solar portfolio has reached 710 MW. This is the largest SPV power plant order won by BHEL ever.
In addition to solar photovoltaic products, BHEL offers complete EPC solutions from concept to commissioning for both off-grid and grid-interactive SPV power plants in various parts of the country including Lakshadweep and Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
On Monday, the stock touched its intraday high of Rs. 69.40 per share on BSE and a low of Rs. 67.65 per share. At 2:30 pm, the stock showed a negative trend of 0.66 per cent to trade at Rs. 68.15. The benchmark index Sensex traded 187 points below its last close, at 35,822.
