BHEL to set up EV charging stations on Delhi-Chandigarh highway
Bharat Heavy Electricals is setting up a network of solar-based electric vehicle chargers (SEVC) on the Delhi-Chandigarh highway.
The chargers are located at the resorts of Haryana Tourism Corporation at Ambala, Kurukshetra, Karnal, Panipat and Samalkha (Sonepat) on Delhi-Chandigarh highway. The project is covered under the 'Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of (hybrid) and Electric vehicles in India (FAME) scheme of the Department of Heavy Industry (DHI), Government of India.
Every SEVC station will be equipped with a rooftop solar power plant for the supply of green energy and EV chargers.

The stock of BHEL on Friday opened at Rs. 51.70 and closed at Rs. 50.55, 0.10 per cent lower than its previous close of Rs 50.60. The stock hit an intra-day high of Rs. 51.70 and intra-day low of Rs. 49.65. Its 52-week high was Rs. 83.25 and 52-week low was Rs. 46.65 on the BSE.
