BHEL commissions 2 pumping units; stock down 4 per cent

Bharat Heavy Electricals has successfully commissioned two more pumping units 1&2 of 116 MW each at Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme (LIS) Package-6 in Telangana.

BHEL had earlier commissioned Units 1 & 2 of the same project in April 2019. The pump for each unit is designed to lift 89.16 cumecs of water by 105.5 metres. The scope of the project includes Electrical & Mechanical (E&M) works along with design, manufacture, supply and supervision of building and commissioning of 7 sets of Vertical Pump-Motor sets along with associated auxiliaries. The equipment has been manufactured and supplied from BHEL's manufacturing units at Bhopal, Rudrapur and Bengaluru.

BHEL is India’s largest engineering and manufacturing company of its kind. It is a power plant equipment manufacturer and operates as an engineering and manufacturing company.

On Tuesday, the shares of BHEL opened at Rs. 66.40 per share against Monday’s close of Rs 66.10. At closing hours, the stock was trading at Rs 63.35, 4.16 per cent lower than the previous close. It reached an intraday high of Rs 66.40 and an intraday low of Rs. 62.90 per share on the BSE. The 52-week high stood at Rs. 86.80 and the 52-week low was at Rs. 56.25 per share on the BSE.
