Bharti Airtel pays AGR dues
Bharti Airtel announced to have carried out self-assessment of various license agreements entered into with the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and also of various directions issued by the DoT from time to time with respect to Spectrum Usage Charges (SUC).
In accordance to that, the company has successfully paid additional amount of Rs 3,004 crore as the full and final amount due over and above the ad-hoc amount of Rs 10,000 crore, paid previously on February 17, 2020. The payment has been made on behalf of all the Bharti Group of Companies which include Sharti Airtel, Sharti Hexacom and Telenor India. Additionally, Bharti Airtel has also deposited an excess of Rs 5,000 crore as an ad-hoc payment for any differences if they arise from the reconciliation exercise with the DoT. As a total, the company has paid Rs 18,004 crore. Thus, the company has complied with AGR Judgment and the directions of Supreme Court order dated back in October 24, 2019.

On Monday, the stock of the company closed at Rs 521.15, down by 0.55 per cent or Rs 2.90 per share. The intraday high was Rs 535.95 and intraday low was Rs 512.20. The 52-week high is Rs 568.60 and 52-week low is Rs 277.79 on BSE.
