Bharti Airtel introduces 5G ready platform for ‘world of connected things
Bharti Airtel, India’s premier communications solutions provider announced that it has launched 'Airtel loT' which is an integrated platform that helps enterprises harness the power of the internet of things (IoT) and gear up for the emerging era of connected things.
There are three key requirements for IoT by enterprises. The first being connectivity solutions, which future-proof their application and device investments. The second is the security of data while the third key requirement is the smooth integration with existing IT systems to make the IoT data actionable. Airtel IoT is launched with the aim to ease the IoT journeys of enterprises. This end-to-end platform is capable of connecting and managing billions of devices & applications in a secure and seamless manner.
The platform is supported by Airtel's robust 5G-ready network, which has the option to deploy NB-loT, 4G, or 2G connectivity using Airtel e-SIM technology. It also reports having a flexible set of APIs (application programming interface) to reduce the lengthened integration journeys and helps enterprises to execute smoothly the process of connecting, collecting, and analysing data via existing workflows. Airtel’s telco-grade security supports in keeping the IoT data safe and available on a real-time basis for analytics & service delivery.

On Thursday, Bharti Airtel’s share was trading at Rs 543.25, which is 0.3 per cent up on BSE.
