Benchmark indices open on a positive note with Nifty Metal and Nifty Realty among the top gainers!

Market Update at 9:35 AM: On Friday, Indian markets opened on a positive note, with both Nifty and Sensex seeing moderate gains. Nifty Realty emerged as the top gainer, while Nifty MID SELECT sector lagged as the biggest loser.
The Sensex rose by 0.12 per cent, hovering around 83,280, and the Nifty also rose by 0.17 per cent, approaching 25,500. Similarly, the broader market also registered gains, with the Nifty Midcap surging by 0.45 per cent to about 59,620, while the Nifty Smallcap surged by 0.67 per cent, trading close to 19,270.
India VIX rose by 0.24 per cent and is trading at 12.50, indicating a slight rise in market volatility.
Within the sectoral landscape Nifty Realty, Nifty Metal, and Nifty PSU Bank are among the Top Gainers while Nifty MID SELECT is the sector which are underperforming.
JSWSTEEL, HDFCLIFE, and COALINDIA are among the top gainers within the Nifty 50 while NTPC, CIPLA, and TITAN are among the Top Losers.
About 1,546 stocks are advancing as against to 708 stocks that are declining, thus indicating a positive sentiment in the broader market.

Pre-Market Update at 8:10 AM: The S&P 500 reached a new record high on Thursday, following the Federal Reserve’s decision to cut interest rates by 50 basis points and hint at more cuts ahead.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average also hit a record close, finishing above 42,000 for the first time.
The S&P 500 increased by 1.70 per cent, closing at 5,713.64 points. The Nasdaq rose 2.51 per cent to 18,013.98 points, while the Dow gained 1.26 per cent, ending at 42,025.19 points.
The yield on the US 10-year Treasury fell by 28 basis points to 3.70 per cent, while the US 2-year bond yield dropped 41 basis points, settling at 3.56 per cent

Oil prices remained mostly steady in early Asian trading on Friday but were set to post gains for the second consecutive week due to a major U.S. interest rate cut and shrinking global stockpiles.
Brent futures fell by 19 cents to $73.69 a barrel, gaining 4.3 per cent for the week, while U.S. crude rose 6 cents to $72.01 a barrel, with a weekly increase of 4.8 per cent.
