Month-to-date, the headline indices i.e. Nifty 50 and Sensex have climbed more than 3 per cent each

Positive global cues, improving macroeconomic conditions, heavy FII buying, easing crude oil prices, and shrinking volatility have helped the Indian equity markets maintain the upward trajectory up till now in September.

Month-to-date, the headline indices i.e. Nifty 50 and Sensex have climbed more than 3 per cent each. Bulls are in strong form and seem to dominate markets. Banking and Small-Cap stocks are outperforming the broader markets in September.

A distinct trend is being witnessed in markets i.e. the stocks, which have significantly underperformed over the last 8 months, are seeing heavy buying interest from investors. With valuations rationalising in recent months, it seems that pockets of opportunities have opened up in selective undervalued stocks.
