Bajaj Electricals profit soars 79.5 per cent
Bajaj Electricals reported its results for the quarter ended September 30, 2018 during market hours on Thursday.
The company's standalone revenue for the quarter came in at Rs. 1,598.44 crore as against Rs. 935.58 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, registering 70.9 per cent yoy increase.
The company’s consumer product segment grew by 24.9 per cent and EPC segment grew by 126.9 per cent in terms of revenue on yoy basis.
The EBITDA for the quarter rose by 86.2 per cent yoy to Rs. 79.94 crore as against Rs. 42.94 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, with a corresponding margin expansion of 41 bps. EBITDA margin for the quarter stood at 5 per cent.
The PAT for the quarter came in at Rs. 34.08 crore as against Rs. 18.98 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, yoy increase of 79.5 per cent.
The current order book stood at Rs. 7,307 crore, comprising of Rs. 1,278 crore for Transmission Line Towers, Rs. 5,813 crore for Power Distribution and Rs. 216 crore for Illumination Projects.
On Thursday, the stock opened at Rs. 493.10 per share and jumped by 6 per cent and made an intraday high of Rs. 515.05 on the BSE.
