Associated Alcohols & Breweries to produce sanitisers
Associated Alcohols & Breweries announced that the company has received permission from MP Drug & Food authorities for the production of alcohol-based hand sanitisers.
Post the permission, the company has started producing hand sanitisers at its distillery located in Gram Khodi in Tehsil Barwaha by using extra neutral alcohol (ENA) to manufacture the alcohol-based sanitiser as per the prescribed norms. Further, these supplies will be donated to the government authorities as part of CSR activity of Associated Alcohols & Breweries to overcome the shortage of hand sanitisers due to the current COVID-19 outbreak. Since, the demand and need of sanitisers in healthcare institutions as well as markets has grown rapidly, the company has also decided for commercial sale of the same.
Associated Alcohols & Breweries Limited is a distillery company engaged in the manufacturing of alcoholic liquor. It operates through potable alcohol segment and is also engaged in the business of bottling vodka and Scotch whisky for international brands. On the occasion of Mahavir Jayanti, today i.e. on Monday, Indian markets are closed for trading. On Friday, i.e. on April 4, 2020, the stock of the company closed at Rs 147.75, down by 5.41 per cent or Rs 8.45 per share. The 52-week high is Rs 298 and 52-week low is Rs 122 on BSE.
