Ashok Leyland rises 5 per cent on launch of BOSS LX & LE with i-Gen6 technology
Ashok Leyland today launched BOSS LE and LX trucks, with i-Gen6 BS-VI technology in BS6. The company has developed the BOSS brand for the intermediate commercial vehicle (ICV) segment.
BOSS LE and LX trucks will address the 11.1 tonnes to 14.05 tonnes of GVW market. The prices of BOSS LE and LX start from Rs 18 lakh (the ex-showroom price of Mumbai/Delhi/Chennai).
These trucks are manufactured for their use in sectors such as parcel & courier, poultry, white goods, agri-perishable, e-commerce, FMCG, auto parts, etc.
Reacting to this, the stock of Ashok Leyland jumped more than 5.36 per cent today and made an intraday high of Rs 79.50 on BSE.
The stock of Ashok Leyland has recovered by 132.79 per cent from its sharp decline in March 2020.
Ashok Leyland, the flagship company of Hinduja Group, is engaged in the manufacturing and trading of medium and heavy commercial vehicles, light commercial vehicles as well as passenger vehicles.
At 1.31 pm today, the stock of Ashok Leyland was trading at Rs 78.35 on BSE, up by 3.84 per cent while it closed at Rs 79.25, up by 5.04 per cent.
