Ashok Leyland jumps 5 per cent on new product launch
Ashok Leyland, a flagship company of Hinduja Group today announced its launch of India’s first 4-axle 8x2 DTLA Truck (14-wheeler) AVTR 4120, which has a capacity of 40.5 tonnes gross vehicle weight (GVW).
The company has launched AVTR, India’s first modular truck platform to address the varied load-road-application and customer requirements last year. This innovative product will provide flexibility to its customers. In many of the applications, the load availability is dynamic due to various factors like the type of material, seasonality, customer order quantity, onward/return load, etc. Apart from this, it offers an additional 5 tonnes of payload compared to standard 8x2 trucks with a better total cost of ownership (TCO).
AVTR 4120 is powered with Ashok Leyland’s iGen6 technology, which helps in delivering superior power, performance, and better fluid efficiency. The truck will be made available in 200 and 250 HP. The buyers will have a range of options available to choose from which includes maintenance-free unitised wheel bearings, slipper-ended rear suspension, and many more. It also comes loaded with digital solutions such as i-alert, remote diagnostics and is supported by 24*7 customer assistance.
At 12.45 pm on Friday, the shares of the company were trading 3.83 per cent higher at Rs 114.00 per share.
