Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in green with a gain of 299.27 points or 0.37 per cent. By 9.17 am, the index stood at 84,843.12 signifying a gain of 70.92 points or 0.08 per cent over its previous closing.

On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals jumped by 0.32 per cent, power zoomed by 0.26 and auto soared by 0.33 per cent.
Meanwhile, Vodafone Idea Ltd, Hitachi Energy India Ltd and Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
Vodafone Idea Ltd an S&P BSE company, surged 9.89 per cent to trade at Rs 7.67 apiece. Vodafone Idea Limited (VIL) had asked the government to get done with the BGs for spectrum bought before 2022 when they didn't need to submit BGs for spectrum bought after 2022. Now the union cabinet has approved the request to waive bank guarantees for the telcos.
Hitachi Energy India Ltd rallied 6.73 per cent to trade at Rs 12,450 apiece. Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (POWERGRID) has awarded the consortium of Hitachi Energy India Limited and Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) to design and execute the High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) link to transmit renewable energy from Khavda in Gujarat to the industrial center of Nagpur in Maharashtra.
Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd an S&P BSE company, climbed 7.95 per cent to trade at Rs 51.07 apiece. MTNL and BSNL have entered into a “SERVICES AGREEMENT” on 22.11.2024. This mutually binding Agreement shall come into effect from 01.01.2025 between MTNL and BSNL and shall remain valid for a period of Ten (10) years unless it is revoked earlier.
