Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 22.03 points or 0.03 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index stood at 71,345.98 signifying a loss of 82.45 points or 0.12 per cent over its previous closing.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, power rose by 0.94 per cent, utilities gained 0.68 and healthcare rose by 0.54 per cent.
Meanwhile, Schneider Electric Infrastructure Ltd, Glaxosmithkline Pharmaceuticals Ltd And Hindustan Construction Co. Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
Schneider Electric Infrastructure Ltd, an S&P BSE company, surged 12.15 per cent to trade at Rs 619.20 apiece. The stock rallied as the company posted strong financial results for the quarter ended December 31, 2023 with net profit growth of 114.20 per cent on a YoY basis.
Glaxosmithkline Pharmaceuticals Ltd rallied 9.61 per cent to trade at Rs 2649.95 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in the share price could be driven purely by the market forces.
Hindustan Construction Co. Ltd, an S&P BSE company, climbed 6.23 per cent to trade at Rs 46.54 apiece. Its total income in the third quarter of the ongoing fiscal rose to Rs 1,512.30 crore, as against Rs 1,359.51 crore in the corresponding period of the last fiscal with jump of 11 per cent.
