Indian domestic indices displayed the optimistic investor mood as they soared with significant gains in numerous sectors. The BSE Sensex surged 0.76 per cent to 59,411 level at the close. The Nifty 50 index climbed 0.85 per cent to a level of 17,450. With gains of more than 2 per cent, BSE Metals emerged as the best-performing sector while information technology, industrials and the energy sectors also recorded notable gains.

State Bank of India - Shares of the bank surged 2.69 per cent, making them the top Sensex gainer and keeping the bulls in the game. The bank said to have raised $1 billion through a syndicated social loan from global banks for further lending.
Tata Power - Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd, a subsidiary of Tata Power Company, has received the second and final round of investment of Rs 2,000 crore from GreenForest New Energies Bidco Ltd and has successfully allotted 20 crore compulsorily convertible preference shares at face value of Rs 100 each aggregating to Rs 2,000 crore on a preferential basis to GreenForest.
APL Apollo Tubes - Shares of the company soared almost 6 per cent, which was the main driving force for the more than 2 per cent gains in the BSE Metal sectoral index. Over the past year, shares have climbed more than 48 per cent.
