Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in green with a gain of 398.56 points or 0.67 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index further strengthened to 59,709.90, signifying gains of 568.67 points or 0.96 per cent.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals shined by 0.5 per cent, power strengthened by 1 per cent while auto surged 0.3 per cent.
Meanwhile, AIA Engineering, Dish TV India, and IRCON International emerged as the top gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
AIA Engineering Ltd, an S&P BSE 500 company, surged 9.74 per cent to trade at Rs 2,821.70 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in its share price could be driven purely by market forces.
Dish TV India Ltd, an S&P BSE Smallcap company, rallied 6.74 per cent to trade at Rs 17.90 apiece. On Monday, the company's Director and Chairman - Jawahar Lal Goel resigned from his position.
IRCON International Ltd, another S&P BSE 500 company, climbed 6.19 per cent to trade at Rs 42.90 apiece. On Monday, the company reported that it has secured the work of Stage III i.e. detailed engineering & project management consultancy (PMC) services for 'Development of rail infrastructure for two proposed RLS (20 MTY) for Ananta OCP of Jagannath Area at Talcher' by Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) at a total value of Rs 256 crore.
