Sterling & Wilson Solar climbs over 4 per cent post commissioning 25 MW solar project in Oman

Sterling & Wilson Solar Limited (SWSL) has successfully commissioned its second project in Oman. The company, which commissioned this project on time with more than 3,00,000 man-hours during the pandemic, had received this 25 MW solar project from the global energy company, Shell. 

Reacting to this, the stock of the company today increased by 4.52 per cent and made an intraday high of Rs 247.65 per share. 

The company reported a net profit of Rs 15.09 crore in Q2FY21, a decrease of 81 per cent. It had reported a profit of Rs 79.41 crore in Q2FY20. Besides, the company reported net sales of Rs 1,336.63 crore for Q2FY21, an increase of 12.01 per cent as against the net sales of Rs 1,193.33 crore for Q2FY20.

Sterling & Wilson Solar Limited has a presence in 25 countries, providing end-to-end solar engineering, procurement & construction (EPC) solutions. SWSL provides EPC services for utility-scale, rooftop and floating solar power projects along with operations & maintenance services, including projects constructed by third parties. 

According to BSE data, the stock traded at a P/E multiple of 21.43 and a price-to-book ratio of 6.59. The stock has a 52-week high and a 52-week low of Rs 330 and Rs 69.75, respectively. 

At 1.07 pm today, the stock of the company was trading at Rs 240.45, up by 1.48 per cent on BSE.
