JMC Projects shines on order win worth Rs 1,363 crore

JMC Projects (India) Limited, a leading civil engineering and EPC company, has bagged new orders worth Rs 1,363 crore. The orders include building projects in South India worth Rs 1,169 crore along with water supply project in Bihar worth Rs 194 crore.

The company’s current order book stands at Rs 11,400 crore with L1 of Rs 1,700 crore. Considering its consolidated revenue for FY20, the book-to-bill ratio comes out at 2.9x.

On the financial front, its consolidated revenue for the quarter Q1FY21 came in at Rs 498.38 crore as against Rs 946.92 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, registering 47.4 per cent YoY decline. EBITDA for the quarter fell by 66.3 per cent YoY to Rs 44.79 crore as against Rs 132.94 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, with a corresponding margin contraction of 505 bps. Meanwhile, EBITDA margin for the quarter stood at 9 per cent. It incurred a net loss of Rs 52.21 crore as against a net profit of Rs 20.61 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

JMC Projects Limited is a subsidiary of Kalpataru Power Transmission Limited. It is engaged in the construction of highways, expressways, bridges, flyovers, townships, high-rise buildings, hospitals, industrial units, and power plants among others.

On Wednesday, during the early morning session, the stock of JMC Projects jumped 13.5 per cent to Rs 55 from its previous close of Rs 48.45 on BSE.
