Amara Raja: Board recommends final dividend
The Board of Directors of Amara Raja Batteries have recommended a final dividend of Rs. 5.08 per equity share (representing 508 per cent) on the equity share of Rs. 1 each fully paid up for by the end of the financial year March 31, 2019.
The proposal is subject to shareholder approval. The company's annual general meeting (AGM) is pre-poned to be held on July 20, instead of the earlier scheduled date of August 3, 2019.
The company reported a revenue of Rs. 6,793.11 crore for FY 19. For the same fiscal year, the net profit is recorded to be Rs.483.49 crore.

The company conducts business operations in the automotive battery business, packaged food and beverages, electronics products manufacturing, infrastructure sector, power system production and fabrication of sheet metal products and fasteners. The company provides installation, commissioning and maintenance services for automobile equipment and battery services. Its automotive and industrial battery brands include PowerZone, Power Stack, Quanta, Amaron Sleek, etc. The company’s products are regularly exported to Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Taiwan, Singapore, Vietnam, South Africa, etc.
On Thursday, the stock of the Amara Raja closed at Rs. 611.70 per share, an increase of Rs. 29.70 or by 5.10 per cent than its previous closing price. The 52-week high is Rs. 907.75 and 52-week low is Rs. 572.60 on BSE.
