Airtel and Verizon partners to bring secure video conferencing to India
India’s largest integrated telecom company, Bharti Airtel Ltd announced that it has entered into a strategic partnership with Verizon, the largest communication technologies in the world on Tuesday for introducing secure video conferencing solutions to businesses in India.
As a part of this integrated business-to-business (B2B) alliance, Airtel is set to offer ‘Airtel BlueJeans’, an enterprise-grade video conferencing solution to enterprise customers in India.
Due to the unprecedented outburst of COVID-19, followed by the lockdown imposed by Government of India (GOI) to curb its spread, India is witnessing a huge surge in its demand for enterprise-grade video conferencing tools as virtual meetings and ‘work from home’ is becoming the new normal.
Verizon’s BlueJeans offers enterprise-grade, secure video conferencing solutions, which enables people to communicate and collaborate across various platforms like mobile, desktop and so on. Along with providing reliable and trusted solutions, it also meets the stringent security of banks and other organisations.
This technology will be fully-integrated with Airtel’s network along with its data centers to offer customers a secure and reliable experience. It also includes a cloud point of presence in India, which enables low latency and better quality of service for its India-based customers.
At 11.20 am on Wednesday, the share of Bharti Airtel Ltd was trading at Rs 582.00 with a decline of 1.19 per cent on BSE.
