The gain in the Auto index is triggered by the upbeat October sales numbers of the companies.
The Indian rupee gained some ground as it fell below the 73 mark for the first time since October. This can be attributed to a sharp fall in crude oil prices and weakness in the dollar. At 11:30 hours, the Sensex had registered a high of 35,029.28 level and a low of 34,649.80 on Friday.
