Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today

These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.

At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 2.19 points or 0.00 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index stood at 85,216.14 signifying a loss of 46.27 points or 0.05 per cent over its previous closing.

On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals Jumped by 0.34 per cent, power zoomed by 0.19 and auto soared by 0.05 per cent.

Meanwhile, Greenlam Industries Ltd, Five-Star Business Finance Ltd and Bharti Airtel emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today. 

Greenlam Industries Ltd, an S&P BSE company, surged 4.93 per cent to trade at 540.15 apiece. The company incorporated a subsidiary in Bangladesh on September 25, 2024, under the name and style of "Greenlam Overseas Bengal Limited", to carry out inter alia, the business of distributor and wholesaler of high-pressure laminates and other paper/wood-based products. Th company ho;ds 99.9 per cent shareholding in Bangladesh subsidairy. 

Five-Star Business Finance Ltd rallied 3.79 per cent to trade at Rs 839 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in the share price could be driven purely by the market forces. 

Bharti Airtel Ltd, an S&P BSE company, climbed 3.24 per cent to trade at Rs 1395 apiece. The company has launched India’s first network-based, AI-powered spam detection solution that will significantly solve the issue of spam calls and messages for its customers. A first-of-its-kind solution by a telecom service provider in the country, the tool will alert customers in real time to all suspected spam calls and SMSes. The solution is free of cost and will get auto-activated for all Airtel customers without them having to raise a service request or download an app.
