REC
In an exchange of MoU between Shri Rajeev Sharma, CMD, REC and Shri R S T Sai, CMD, THDCIL, Rural Electrification Corporation, a Navratna Company committed financial assistance of Rs 4 crore under CSR initiatives to THDC India for the construction of a 155-seater Girls' Hostel at the THDC Institute of Hydro Power Engineering & Technology in Tehri District, Uttarakhand, as their contribution to the calamity affected state. Situated approximately 150 km from Rishikesh, the institute aims at providing a unique education and training experience to the students in the Hydro Power Generation Sector and at the same time providing a pool of skilled trained manpower for the hydro generation power plants in the country, leading to an all-round development of the sector.
NTPC
Shri I J Kapoor Director (Commercial), Shri N N Misra, Director (Operations), along with Shri G J Deshpande, Regional Executive Director (WR-I), reviewed the progress of NTPC Mouda Super Thermal Power Station in Maharashtra on July 16, 2013.
HUDCO
HUDCO has declared a total dividend of Rs 150 crore for the financial year 2012-2013 which is the highest ever payment of dividend to the Government of India by HUDCO. Of this total amount, Rs 103.78 crore is payable to the Ministry of Housing & Urban Poverty Alleviation, Rs 15.12 crore to the Ministry of Urban Development and Rs 31.10 crore to the Ministry of Rural Development. In the financial year 2012-13, HUDCO has registered the highest ever net profit (after tax) of Rs 700.56 crore, and has recorded the highest ever level of sanctions of Rs 23974 crore.
