Useful Report On Commodities
Your report on commodities in the previous issue of the magazine (5 Commodities To Drive The Market In 2012, DSIJ Vol. 27, Issue No. 2) made for good reading. Articles like these provide some very useful insights into what one has to look for while investing. Though the report dealt with something very macro in nature, it was interesting in the way that it was written.

Constructive Criticism
I have always believed that nothing much is wrong with the fundamentals of India and thus, investors should not worry much. Your recent story, An Agenda To Act Upon (DSIJ Vol. 26, Issue No. 26) certainly validates this fact. I was glad to see how the story flowed. The best part about the story was that it clearly mentions what steps are required to bring the country back on track.
I have seen stories where the media has simply blasted the government. Picking faults is easy, but it takes a lot to come up with solutions. I am glad you did just that. The problem lies with the politicians, and not with the country. So, through Dalal Street Investment Journal, I urge one and all to not spread this negative sentiment about the country and to keep the faith. Surely, India would do better going forward.
Another story that I liked in the same issue was the Mutual Fund Special Report (Is It All Greek?). The way in which the investment-related concepts were explained was good, though I still feel that it could have been taken up in a more detailed way, by giving a few examples here and there. Nonetheless, it was good story to write about.

Genuine Advice
I have been following Dalal Street Investment Journal for many years now. I am also an avid follower of your website, which provides immensely important information to lay investors like us.
I would particularly like to draw your attention towards a recent analysis that your website carried. This was in relation to the NCD issue of Muthoot Finance (Muthoot Finance NCD – Should you subscribe?). The deep analysis of the issue made for interesting reading and helped make an objective decision about investing in it. I thank you very much for the genuine advice.
